About Us

BK12.org and our sister website BelizeK12.org are grassroots efforts backed by a dedicated group of computer scientists and educators who love Belize. We have partnered with The Word at Work, MoEST, Sacred Heart Junior College, and other organizations to provide high-quality computer equipment to schools across Belize.

For over 20 years, our ad-hoc group has been committed to supporting education in Belize by donating computers and laptops to schools of all managements. We have expanded this effort in the last two years by providing over 1,000 computers to 40+ schools. There are another 1,200 computers on their way to Belize and we’re eager to continue this work now and for years to come.  This equipment is provided free of charge to eligible schools.

What We Are Offering

• New Planar 22 inch 1k Monitors
• Keyboards & Mice
• Ethernet Switches & Cables
• Refurbished Lenovo ThinkCenter Tiny Computers, typically:
  • Intel i5 or AMD Ryzen Pro 5 (6th, 7th, or 8th generation)
  • 8GB RAM
  • 256GB SSD Storage

How to Apply

We invite schools across Belize to apply for a computer lab grant. You will need to answer a set of questions about your school and then submit a grant request.   PLEASE Login into this BK12.org site, find your school and answer the related questions.

Grant Review Process

We will be prioritizing schools that have teacher support and a room or other suitable space with security, power and Internet.  If you don’t meet these requirements that does not mean that your school won’t be considered. All schools are evaluated on a case by case basis.  If we don’t have enough computers to supply your school with this shipment there will be further shipments later this year.
